Mouse freezes in Suse 10.0

I just installed Suse 10 and I'm loving it, save for one glitch: whenever my desktop goes into powersave mode for a long enough period (about 15 minutes after my system suspends) my mouse stops responding. The keyboard keeps working, and if I log out and start a new session, the mouse comes back, too.

I've tried disabling the powersave options to keep it from suspending in the first place, but I must have missed something along the way. I'd be satisfied with just disabling the powersave, but I'd really like to fix the problem entirely.

Am assuming this is on your laptop then, but is it your touchpad that stops responding, on an external mouse you have - in which case, is it PS/2 or USB mouse? It's useful to leave your power settings alone as can be a help when running batteries, but restarting your session or X-server isn't an ideal way to get your mouse working again!

This is an optical usb mouse on my DESKTOP.
