Include modular support for NTFS in filesystem configuration of your kernel, and then compile modules -
make modules && modules_install

well actually im not an advanced user so if u just guide me how i can do this step by step than it would be very helpful

Well it would include a kernel recompile dark_light, and during that you would include the support (either modularly or directly). Do not enable write support, I know it might be tempting.

Cool

First tell us what is your distribution. Then go on www.kernel.org and get the latest 2.4.19 kernel. So we will be able to guide in your fist kernel compilation :)
