Mounting iso file, shows up as filesystem, not cd

I have an iso file i created by dd-ing a cd. Mounting it with "mount /cd.iso /mnt/cdrom -o loop -t iso9660", I get a filesystem icon on my desktop. Also, the label is changed to 'cdrom' instead of the original cd title. How would I emulate a physical mounted cd?

No copyright-protection is on the cd, btw.

That is how you emulate a physical CD. The "problem" you have is with your desktop, and no one knows what that might be.
