monitoring cpu temp within linux
Hi all,
Is there a program that can monitor the cpu temp? An applet would be nice.

You'll need to install the latest i2c package followed by lm_sensors, both available here, once those are installed then you need a GUI, GKrellM is the one most people prefer.

I installed everything ok, but don't see anything for cpu temp. It's a great utility. Thanks for the info.

Focus GKrellM and press F1 to bring up the config widget, go to Builtins-->CPU and enable "Draw fan and temp values separately"
