monitor problems!

Ive installed Xandros OCE on one of my pc's and now after I boot and she loads, the monitor goes into stanby! it says my display settings are out of range but doesnt give me an option to correct! How can I change the settings if i cant get to the desktop and control center? It is set to 1024/760 which works fine with windows. can someone please help me to correct this issue?

Your problem is probably refresh rates, not your resolution.

Gather the documentation for your monitor and video card. Specifically, you'll need to know supported resolutions and refresh rates, as well as how much video memory you have.
Boot your system and login blind.
<ctrl>+<alt>+F1 to get to a virtual terminal. You should now be able to see a prompt on your screen.
Login and run xorgconfig.

This should take care of your problem, let me know if it doesn't.
