monitor mysql

hi,
how to find out who´s connected to a mysql-server?
logfiles? show status in mysql? ...

DrOzz 02-23-2005 09:16 AM

well you can try :
SHOW PROCESSLIST; for connections, and ..
SHOW LOGS; for logs.
SHOW STATUS; for the status..

of course you can pass other arguments to these, but these are
what it appears you are looking for in their simpiliest form..
also, i am sure you'll find any other mysql that your interested in on that
website ... there is tonnes of information ...

I think mysql logs things to /var/log/mysql by default.

DrOzz 02-23-2005 01:51 PM

well here is a little more elaboration of the logging ..
i know my mysql server doesn't log in /var/log/mysql
