modules... nvidia agpgart nvagp sis-agp it makes no differnece.

hey guys....

ive been attempting to get suspend to disk to work while X is loaded...
this isnt working, with an error and the address of my AGP slot...

it works when i unload the nvidia driver.

osme people mentioned that agpgart is NOT acpi firndly, but NvAGP is....
unfortunatly, i have AGPGART compiled into the kernel.

i recompied the kernel is agpgart and sis-agp as modules.

one thing i have noticed, is how slooooooow glxgears is running...

before, i got 2100 frpames per second... now i get only 1500.

and no matter wether agpgart is loaded or not, the frame rate does not change... sis-agp also makes no difference.

and NvAGP "1" makes Xorg fail to load with errors about NvAGP not being a valid option..

i thought performance should be serverly degraded without AGPGART or NvAGP working ?

glxinfo says direct rendering is working, and all the usual...
i once understood nvidia soooo well... now im just lost !

im using gentoo !!!! (and a 2.6.8 gentoo kernel)

can any1give any advice ?

What is the version of nvidia driver. If it is the latest then that has been normal from what I read on nvidia's site.
? When you use NVAgp "1" is the agpgart or sis-agpgart loaded?
Could you display your XF86Config and X error log?

ok.... i fixed the problem with selecting what AGP driver is geing used... that is nolonger an issue....

however, neither drivers seem to support acpi suspend.
also.... from what i thought i knew aout kernels, a module driver shouldnt run any slower than a built in driver....

yet the only difference i made to the kernel, was to change AGPGART and sis-agp from 'Y' to 'M' and i lost 500 frames per second in glx gears.... is this normal ???

what was configing me about my first question.. is in the 2.4 kernel /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status showd NvAGP .. but in 2.6, it seems it just says NVIDIA.

anyways, thaks for the reply.
