Modules install link question
 

Have been compiling new kernels to solve a firewire problem with RedHat 8.0. This past time when I got to the
make modules_install part I get an error message:
when making multiple links last argument must be a directory.

I edited the Makefile after xconfig. What did I miss? Is there a way to solve this problem? I'd like to solve this problem instead of starting over again.

Sounds like you need to check your makefile to make sure that the directories are good ( slashes .. etc )
