Modify I tabular file

I'm going to throw the pivotTable back out here...

don't get me wrong, I love awk and the like.

but for what you are doing you may find it quicker to use a PivotTable

the above was done in LibreOffice
( added the 'config' )

I've tried with that but the file is too big .. and crashed a lot...sometimes is better linux for this reason

need to learn R..

just how large are we talking?

Python/perl might be more suitable, not that I know either of them
