Modems???

Hello all,

Brand new to this Linux thing. Got Mandrake 8.1 about a week ago and loaded it on to a second hard drive in a win 2000 box. Finally got the dual boot thing working OK (don't ask) but it looks like my Rockwell HCF 56K V90 modem is not going to be compatible with Linux no matter what I do. So, the question is what is the best modem to get for the best compatability to both systems???? Is there such a thing???

hardware modem or external modem work best. Best Data makes a hardware modem you can pick up at most local stores i think for 30 bucks or so.. its linux compatible as i have used them with ease.

any external serial port modem should work great

, (not an external USB modem though)
