mobile over usb port

I have connected a nokia 6630 to fedora core 2 through a USB cable

and its mentioned as "nokia 6630" in the modem list present in the "hardware browser" .

I want to access this mobile over serial port?

Do I need to do something that this mobile also becomes available over the serial interface ( as I have connected it to a usb port) ?

or should it be already accessible over serial interface ?
