Mirroring Sites Setup Question


Supposed I want to mirror a particular site for ex. a site that's offering ebooks, what should i do to set it up?i've heard that the best ways is either by rsync or wget or ftp, but I don't know to set it up. For instance, I already installed Linux, what services should I open,web server?ftp server?
I will use either Slackware or Redhat .

Pls help me.
