minimal text based linux system needed

I need a minimal linux system which should boot into text mode only, mount some partitions (including a ntfs system) and immediately run a script and then shut down the system.

Which linux can I use?
How do I install ntfs-3g there?
Do I put startup script command in rc.local or somewhere else?

Thanks for your help.

As far as text-based live systems there's Finnix and GRML small come to mind.

they both probably have NTFS-3g...

LFS can be 5 mb and is textbased. Arch if you don't want to go through having a host distro

Even lighter would be TTYLinux and it has a NTFS-3g addon

Most distros will allow you to install without the gui. I do debian and ubuntu server that way. They may not be as light though. Probably will do a centos box that way also.
