Hi.. i am using the 2.6.9 and i want to migrate to the 2.6.10 for a new attribute that was added... i want to keep the same setting and for the 2.6.10 kernel... i dont think that a simple copy of the .config file would be enough,..... What else should i do in order to make ends meet?
Thx a lot
Easiest thing for you to do is grab the patch, patch your source, then simply start the compile process as it will use the existing config from your current .config file you have in your source directory.

Well then, if you actually stated this I might have known.. what exactly are you looking for? Did you want me to come over and do it for you on all the machines..

Why not ???. I do it all the time - copy the config, make menuconfig and change anything required, then make.
