Menu Icons... can they be deleted?

I am curious to know if someone can delete the icons on pop-up menus, and if so, would it cause problems with that specific desktop environment?

If I could, then were would I find those icons to delete?

try typing menudrake in a terminal. If it is installed and opens up you will be able to edit your menus. Hope this is what you were looking for
