Mencoder to avi bad colour

Hi,

Had a first try at converting a dvd to avi file using mencoder on Fedora Core 4. Sound fine, picture quality ok, but the top part of the screen has a green band accross it. Have had a search but cant seem to see what I have done wrong. Any clues please.

Command used

mencoder dvd://2 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vhq:vbitrate=1000 -oac copy -vop scale -zoom -xy 720 -o my_movie.avi

Thank you

Removed the -zoom -xy 720 and it now plays in xine no problems. Perfect picture no green banding.

Unfortunately I don't get any picture with playback in windows !

Any ideas
