Hi guys,
I'm just curious about how much memory X is using on your computer because mine seems to use A LOT - 48.9 MB right now...is this supposed to be like this?

Sheers,

well, that depends on a few things. like how much memory your machine has, what programs X is running, whether X using using direct rendering or frame buffering.

That's normal and also depends on what Desktop your using. KDE and GNOME will use up alot more than say Blackbox, XFce and other small ones available.

Hehe, right. Although I'm using fluxbox which takes up about 2 megs memory compared to X itself...
