Memory Sticks and Dig Cam wont Share the USB :(

Running RH8 or a Vaio

I have got a USB memory stick and Sony Digital Camera.

I can get BOTH to work no trouble by connecting them to my USB port (I only have one) and can move my data with no troubles.

My problem is that if I use one then I CANNOT mount the other device (this is after unmounting the first).

It seems that there is something else other than an unmount which is needed but I have no idea what.

I have hotplugging installed but something else is needed --- Can anyone advise ?
