Hi, I would like to have global shortcuts to all playing media, e.g. vlc, smplayer, youtube and some apps through wine.
The keys I would like is:
play/paus
stop
skip 5-15 seconds FF and Rev.
media keys can sort the two first but,
I can not find skip ff and Rev.
Is there a way of adding these media keys?
btw I do not have media keys on my keyboard so all keys will be bound to other keys e.g. f2,f3,f5,f6.
Also do you know if there is a list of key actions somewhere that I can read?
E.g. f5 is action of pressing F5, but for 'media key ff 10sec' or 'media key play/paus' I have no clue.
This is for building custom shortcuts.
@ up to date kde-neon.

In plasma I set my media control keys in:
System settings>Shortcuts>Media Controller
But the forward and rewind is missing.
I was thinking of building my own (using 'Custom Shortcuts') forward and rewind but did not find any commands that plasma takes for the action, hence the ask for "action".
Thanks for the try and for the info about vlc anyways.

What you want can be provided by MPRIS. Maybe KDE has it already built in somewhere.

You mean play/pause and stop? For all apps mentioned? Are you sure? How does KDE do that? Because if it can do that, the rest shouldn't be so hard.
