Hopefully someone will reply

I am still pretty green with regard to mdadm, but will do what I can if you don't get any replies.

It might help to know the output of "df -h", "fdisk -l" and "cat /proc/mdstat".

df -h does not show the disk..

fdisk -l shows the following..
[root@home-linux ~]# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/hda: 80.0 GB, 80000000000 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9726 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 25 200781 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 26 1937 15358140 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 1938 2702 6144862+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda4 2703 9726 56420280 5 Extended
/dev/hda5 2703 3339 5116671 83 Linux

Disk /dev/sda: 73.4 GB, 73407820800 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 8924 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 8924 71681998+ fd Linux raid autodetect

Disk /dev/sdb: 73.4 GB, 73407820800 bytes

Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 1 8924 71681998+ fd Linux raid autodetect

all the way to /dev/sdl is the same from "fdisk -l"
