mc

Earlier when I was using RH7.3, the use of "mc" at $ would show me the files in a tabular format. That format was very convenient to delete, move etc.

Now, I have installed RH8.0 and am not able to do the same as
command not found information is coming up.

Can somebody let me know how I can install mc?

regards,
ashesh

just install the mc rpm if it's not installed by default it'll be on your distro cd's.

Midnight Commander should be on your installation disks. I run Mandrake 9.0 and the install didn't include mc, either, I had to install it manually. So locate it on your distribution disks and install it. Or you could go to rpmfind.net and search for mc. I love mc, it's simple and easy to configure.
