maybe too many processes

I am trying to work out a problem I am having with my printer. I have one that is on the verge of paperweight status in the linux world, which merely means I keep banging my head against the proverbial wall .

The error I find it Socket connection failed: 111 (Connection refused)

I noticed in the processes list that there are two z13 processes running, which I am assuming the print driver running twice. I am wondering if one of them was supposed to end so the other one could run, and that caused one to hang on to the connection becuase I am get one page and not the next and it sits in the queue.

ANY thoughts are welcome.

thanks

Maybe I can drill in a different direction to try to fix my problem. I was looking at some of the code and not knowing perl I don't get it all, but it looks like cupsomatic calls the driver eventhough I don't know where it pulls which driver to start from . But I also have 3 cupsomatics running in the processes, which may be what is calling so many drivers. Again, maybe cupsomatic is supposed to start more than once, but something is supposed to end it.

Thanks for any direction.
