maximum possible users
 

Hello,

I'm working on SuSE linux 8.1 to 9.1 and I would like to know if
it's possible to fix the maximal number of users logged in by telnet
or ssh or else.
For example could I say I don't want more than 5 telnet connections
on my linux box ?

How do I do that ?
How can I verify that ?
Could I do the same for ssh, ftp, ...
Is it also possible for local users ?

Take a look at xinetd, it has the possibility to limit the amount of processes that run for a single instance.
