MandrakeSecurity Single Network Firewall Product DNS Problems

I am a Windows users who has very little experience with Linux. In fact, I downloaded the SNF .iso, burned it, booted it, installed it, and that is my entire Linux experience to date.

I have SNF running on a P400 with plenty of HD, but only 32 meg of ram. This config meets the minimum requirements however.

I have the box plugged into a hub that connects to my router/gateway. I have setup an eth0 and eth1 so that my internal network can see the firewall and the firewall can see the internet. It is currently allowing all traffic in both directions.

eth1 (the gateway network card) has verified DNS entries that we use on our NT server. I know the DNS servers are good.

So, when I set my Windows 2000 professional workstation box to use the internal IP address of the firewall as a gateway and dns server I get no internet. However, if I circumvent the firewall for DNS (using my Microsoft DNS service on my Windows 2000 server) and continue to use the SNF as my gateway I get internet.

So, the bottom line is that my firewall will go fetch pages for me once I get dns from another source.

Is there a trick to making DNS work on this product aside from just making the entries?

Thanks
