Mandrake 9.1 sound/network questions
I am running Mandrake 9.1 and ever time a try to open an audio cd it get "Could not enter directory /mnt/cdrom" whenever I put a music cd in and use the same link. I think is because I don't have sound set up. In mandrake control center it has listed for my sound card
Code:
Vendor: ?Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS]
Alternative drivers: ?ali5455:i810_audio:nvaudio
Bus: ?PCI
Bus identification: ?1039:7012:13f6:300
Location on the bus: ?0:2:7
Description: ?SiS7012 PCI Audio Accelerator
Module: ?snd-intel8x0
Media class: ?MULTIMEDIA_AUDIO
so I know that it knows what the card is. I ran the config tool and it gave me this
Code:
Vendor: ?Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS]
Alternative drivers: ?ali5455:i810_audio:nvaudio
Bus: ?PCI
Bus identification: ?1039:7012:13f6:300
Location on the bus: ?0:2:7
Description: ?SiS7012 PCI Audio Accelerator
Module: ?snd-intel8x0
Media class: ?MULTIMEDIA_AUDIO
but I don't get any sound. When I try to play mp3s the bar showing how far in the song I am doesn't even start.
Lastly I was wondering how to actually get files from a networked machine. I can see the other computer but how do I go to the other computers to see and copy files.
Thanks
