Mandrake 7.2 Internet connection re USB

Installed Mandrake 7.2 via lnx4win partition. Problem: I can't configure an internet connection. I use a cable connection with a USB ethernet suppied by ISP ( CATC ). Mandrake doesn't accept any of the selected drivers ("can't configure" message)>>ISP states problem is not drivers but USB ethernet connection(I have no internal ethernet card). Can anyone help me. Thanks

What make and modell your usb-network device?
This may be tricky to get working.
Suggestion buy a new 'real' network card, it's probably less pain.

You're probably right but might be "fun" to try to get it configured.
I have a Terayon "TeraPro" Cable Modem - model #TCM200

Which kernelversion do you have?
Does your usb port/hub work?
