making partitions

I have one hard disk of size 10 GB

I have created my first partition of size 2 GB

Then left some cylinders

Again I have created on more partition of 4 GB

Then I left some cylinders

Again I have created one more partion with remaining space left

Now I want to combine those cylinders which I left free (un allocated cylinders) as a single
partition is it possible??

you may boot your machine with the live cd of gparted and then move the 2nd partition to right after the first one. then your free cylinders will be combined again and can be used for other partitions
