Tried that, and as soon as I told it to take a snapshot, my laptop screen just started to turn white, and ended up looking like someone smashed it in the middle. However, I was able to find some info about bootsplash through dmesg, which states that there's a color depth mismatch (which is stated over and over). This may also be why I can't startup fluxbox unless I keep the screen closed, I have the wrong color depth inputted. So, I think I'm getting closer....

GOT IT! Thanks a lot guys! I ended up running through all the tutorials after I installed the 2.6.x kernel and now it works like a charm. I grabbed a copy of the Matrix Theme from bootsplash.de, and I'll post a screenshot as soon as my website comes back up. Thx again!
