Unhappy Majordomo on RH7.1

Ok, got the box up and running, after replacing a video card and hard drive.

Now, trying to get majordomo up and running, but I may have a deeper problem.

Majordomo compiled and installed ok, but nothing happens.

Logged into the box (ssh), I can send mail to anywhere.
From outside, mail addressed to the box never comes. (dns is right)

From inside the box, mail to majordomo is returned "service unavailable".

I am also unable to get my mail from outside the box "connection refused", which IIRC is handled by something else (pop?) pop is enabled in xinetd, but I'm still not able to get mail from outside the box.
