Maintaince


In windows there are little maintance things we have to do: defrag, scandisk, ect. What needs to be done in linux? Are there any good helpfull downloadable utitlies?

Don't know about everyone else, but I've been using Linux for 7 years and all I do is keep it updated with the latest packages.

You don't need these two - Linux' file-systems are inherently
fragmentation-repellent. You may want to get yourself a virus-
scanner, just in case you are going to pass on files you received
via e-Mail to other people and want to make sure they're clean.
