Main Menu bar dissapear
Hi ! Linux Gurus
I am using Red Hat 7.2. My horizontal menu bar dissapear after I have successfully upgraded my kernel to 2.4.19 and boot up my linux server. How can I display the horizontal menu bar ? You kind assistant is highly appreciated. Regards, x2000koh |
What window manager are you running kde or gnome?
Well just run either of there control centers and see if there panels are activated, because there probably disabled.... #Garry :D |
To be more specific about KDE, (not sure about gnome) it's in the Look And Feel option under 'panel'

horizontal menu bar
Hi Gurus
I am using gnome. The lower horizontal menu bar is dissapear. therefore, I can not access to the panel control. When I righ click my mouse the menu shows the option of New Window, New Folder, New Terminal and so on. there is no panel (panel control). Please help. x2000koh |
click the second button on the desktop and click enable desktop menu this will at least help you a little as for the bar i found a program called kill on the desktop when i first installed linux great program untill i tryed to use it on a program that had crashed while minimised and killed my menu bar lol
there has to be an executible that makes the menu bar does anyone know where it is ? its not inportant to me ne more as ive reinstalled and learnt from my mistake Richard |
right-click on the desktop
click run command type kicker this should load the panel |
