lpr -P queue@hostname

Say I don't have root access on a machine and there's a remote printer I want to print to that isn't set up on the machine. I know the queue name for the remote printer and the server the queue is on. Is there anyway to print to that printer? I have a feeling that I once used, or saw it mentioned somewhere, that you can use

Code:
$ lpr -P queuename@hostname
but this doesn't work:

Code:
lpr: The printer or class was not found.

Code:
$ rpm -qf $(which lpr)
cups-client-1.3.9-8.15.1

Then you can't print to it. [ Think about it... ]

Ask the machine's sysadm to configure the printer so you can use it.
