Looking for common problems to learn from

Hello,

I have an interview coming up and I want to get a bit more experience with linux before then so I was wondering if anyone could help me out by giving me a list of common problems that crop up with linux so I could try and find the answers as a bit of a test. Any problems will help but networking related ones would be great!

Just off the top of my head I would say read up on and be familiar with NFS and SAMBA.

Also be familiar with the 7 layers of the OSI model.

If you can find out ahead of time what distro of Linux they are using. Then you can study specific problems/resolutions for that distro.

Ahhh, good point. I think that they use redhat 4 but I'll have to check for sure. As for the OSI model I'm up to speed on that. I'll play around with SAMBA tonight and take another look at NFS in the morning.
