Logrotate uses massive resources
Hi
I have noticed that my system load is going through the roof between 2 and 3 in the morning. I have narrowed this down to the logrotate script.
All my logs are set to be rotated once a week, so why does logrotate use so many resources every day?
I would have thought that rotating some logs wouldn't require much effort anyway? This leads me to think that something may be broken.
This suddenly started happening a couple of months ago. I have looked through my /var/log directory, but not found anything out of the ordinary.
Anyone had similar problems, or know enough about how logrotate works to help?
Cheers
