Logrotate script is running even if my m/c is not on at 4.02
I have some questions about the daily scripts that are executed by cron.
The /etc/cron.daily contains a script logrotate which is executed daily at 4.02. By my machine is never switched on at that time, but still log files are getting rotated. For eg., /var/log/messages is to be rotated weekly. I think it is getting rotated on every monday at around 9.30 am though according to system crontab /etc/crontab, logrotate should be executed only at 4.02.
Another daily cronjob, tmpwatch seems to be working fine. I don't think it is getting executed as i have files in my /tmp directory from Aug 2003.
