[SOLVED] log message for power failure

when power failure is occured
1- dose linux write shutdown message in wtmp?
2- is there any log message about reason(power failure)

I don't think the os has time to do that, unless you get a battery backup. In which case (for apc anyhow), you can configure it to log, mail you a message, and probably execute a script to do whatever you want when the system detects a power failure.

Without a UPS, a power cut is a non-maskable interrupt, like death is to humans.
