Hi all
OK, so i extremely stupid. Right that is out the way now here is what I have done. Ubuntu Jaunty system that I messed up my boot up as it came up to the xdmcp search and could see my server and by adding localhost i could then access my desktop. Tried to work out what I had done wrong and then I extremely stoopidly disabled remote access. now you can see where this had led... can no longer log in to localhost! So, ideas on how to get access to my system please. Have no idea which files are edited when you tell the system that you don't want remote access. once this little problem is sorted out i also need to know what on earth i did to the login screen so it only shows xdmcp hosts!!!!!!!!!
