Loading kernel from cd, root file system on usb
 

Hello,

I've installed Xubuntu on a usb harddisk, and I would like to use it on different computers, but some can't boot from usb.

I've read something about installing the kernel and bootloader on a cd and then keeping the root filesytem on the usb drive, but I don't know where I've read it.

Could someone tell how to do this or if anyone knows a tutorial about this, could they please tell me where to find it?
