Question Linux /windows sharing


Hi,

in my office there are some windows machines and the rest are all linux machines. now my question is how to access the data in Linux machines from windows machines without using samba

Install ftp servers on linux machines.

You can either install a centralized server such as a NAS to share the data or install a soft or utility on the Windows system to access NFS exports from the Linux. Otherwise SAMBA is probably the simplest.

Use Windows Services for Unix which can provide an NFS server / client on Windows
