Flash applications for Linux:

... of course flash wrecks accessability:

as for Dreamweaver.... nothing really like it for Linux. Learn HTML and use a text editor! I'm fond of emacs with html-helper-mode but there are dedicated editors such as Quanta and Bluefish.

the only way i can see you finding these tools is to use a windows emulator and use your existing macromedia/adobe tools through linux. i havent tried this though intend to soon. theres an open source emulator called 'wine' but it seems, from their website to support only older versions of these programs - aka dreamweaver 2 etc. the other ones are and - which are commercial products.

linux is great for certain tasks but as yet there isn't any software for designers to rival dreamweaver, flash or photshop. you can always code entirely by hand but most designers (as aposed to developers) think and work visually, something which isn't emacs's strong suit. however, you'l never design a decent website without editing the code by hand ocasionally.

theres also a gnu program call 'gimp' which is a pretty damn good graphics program for linux/unix - the best free design program ive seen for linux. if your used to the latest photoshop though, you'l become frustrated by its klunky interface, and lack of web-tools pretty soon.

from what i've seen and read of the emulators, if you have a dual windows/linux machine win4linux is the way to go.

graphics on linux,.,..

there is not much available in what you want on linux... onlything that comes close to good is GIMP for graphic manipulation but if you have been working on photoshop it might be really frustrating experience for you.. as for wine.. try codeweaver wine... it is easy to configure..

Download codeweaver wine ....

am not sure if photoshop and all will work in this wine... but therotically they should...
if it works for you.. please tell us..

I use quanta for html, php etc. Get the RPM's if your system uses them as it can be hard to compile from source.
