you might want to try checking out this package:

http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/redhat/....1-8.i386.html

it is basically a font manager for redhat.

im not big into fonts and could not tell you details on how to get it to "manage" your fonts but I'd bet my bottom dollar that it has some docs that come with it. good luck
