Exclamation Linux rar files on Windows??

Hi! I am new to the wonderful world of Linux. I have some files that were compressed on a Linux using 'rar' and would like to send these to a friend of mine who uses Windows.

How can he uncompress these files?

Thank you for your help.

Welcome to Lq.

If your friend downloads the Windows rar program, then s/he should be able to unrar them with out any problems.
