linux on an ipaq

has anyone used linux on an ipaq? If so is it any good? I got one as a present last month and it is the only thing that ties me to windows at the moment. If I installed linux on an ipaq would it be able to talk to my desktop and sync like pocket pc? I'm really starting to use the ipaq and I'm interested in a linux alternative. thanks in advance for any advice!

if you wish to use linux on the ipaq you can find directions all over the internet. but there is one thing you need for the ipaq( for most models anyway), a serial connection or irDa connection. good luck with that. you can buy the necessary cable online too. I have seen the directions before, but as i always say, i should have bookmarked it.
