Question linux on 386 PC

I have a 386 PC with 4mb RAM and 125 mb HD without a CD (only with a floppy) and I would like to install a (small?) linux distribution. I have tried with mulinux but with no results. Any suggestions?

I have smalllinux on a similar 386. I haven't been able to do much with
it but it was a good learning experience. Mine may have 8mb of ram.
Not for sure.

Well ,
At least you'll need a swap- , boot- and root-partition.

Fdisk(The one that comes with the Linuxdistro , not the DOS-version) , FIPS , cfdisk , parted ...... all are progs that'll do the trick for you.
Maybe they're not all in the distro you chose , so check out which one you have and read the manpage about it.
It's not difficult , as long as you take the time to read everything on your screen.
