linux-ntfs: recompile when kernel upgraded?

I compiled the linux-ntfs program back when I was running kernel 2.6.6-1.435.2.3 on FC2. I now am running kernel 2.6.8-1.521 on FC2. Do I have to recompile the linux-ntfs program to be able to mount ntfs volumes safely? If so, do I have to un-install the old version? How do I un-install it if neccesary?

Thanks!

Its built into the kernel.. if you compiled ntfs support in your newer kernel.. there's nothing to uninstall..

I actually installed the linux-ntfs program: http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/index.html I upgraded the kernel just by using 'yum update'... Should I have to uninstall the linux-ntfs RPM, and install a new one?

I'm not sure, I'd check to see how their program works by reading the documentation. I'm guessing it does interact with the kernel since its dealing with ntfs.
