Linux makes monitor give frequency out of range error

Hi,
Well I got an new motherboard a little bit ago, a Biostar p4m900-m4. I am using the integrated video and when I attempt to boot Gparted live from my flash drive or Xubuntu install dice I get an frequency out of range error from my monitor. I hooked up my tower up to another monitor and it seems as Linux is maxing out m graphics on my motherboard, which my monitor can't handle. So what is an way I would fix this so I can get some graphics on my monitor?

Check what boot options you can pass to the bootloader. Some have things like vga= and the sorts. when you boot up gparted and it asks for enter to boot try vga=771 and same goes for xubuntu.

I tried out the new xubuntu and it's safe graphics option and it worked! Yea I'm happy with that since it has gparted on it. Thank you.
