Linux mailing lists

Are there any good Linux mailing lists out there that people ask questions and get responses? When I used FreeBSD there was the FreeBSD questions mailing list that was very popular. Anything similar to this for Linux?

There are a whole host of them, the trick is finding one specific to your needs. One page you might find useful for slackware is: http://www.slackware.com/lists/

Pretty much google for a list with the topics you're interested in, and you'll find a number of them. The same holds true for usenet lists as well.

Also, list info is usually on program specific web pages as well, ie: exim has a very useful list for thier MTA which you can find on thier page. I used to subscribe to a ton, but I found it to be too much to read everyday ( and it accumulated far to fast to catch up on)
