Linux Magazines

Hi there!
Just wanted to ask does anyone know any really good magazines about Linux? If yes, then maybe there's a way to order them through the internet? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know of Maximum Linux was DQ'd or if it switched to another name, or is it still available, and if so, from where?

AND, if you know, can you order back issues, even if they are DQ'd or something.

Thanks!

From what I heard and seen, Maximum Linux is dead. No switch of name or anything.

DC'd I guess would have been a better 2 letter representation of Discontinued

Thanks Tricky, I found the 1 and only issue I got WAYYYY back in the day, well not really (Jan/Feb 01) about Mobile MP3, and was wondering if I could order some more. But thanks for crushing my hopes and dreams j/k

Thanks again, at least I can look for something else now.

Hi
check also http://www.tldp.org/linuxfocus/
online reading and it is in several languages (yes also
in dutch , well partial tho.
And i know other mags that call themselves linux magazine
http://www.linux-magazine.co.uk that is english and contains
parts of the german linux user http://www.linux-user.de
Which is a spin off from http://www.linux-magazin.de (that is
more for the pro market) pretty confusing huh.
But to avoid missing anything i just buy them all. Including
the linux format/dvd issue. Retreiving all my software
by isdn can be pain so i like the software they put on.
LXF31 has slack 8.1 for inst.
enjoy

Hi

I see that they changed their url (i typed it from the cover)
http://www.linux-magazine.com/
to see what is actual in it; http://www.linux-magazine.com/issue/22 you can download some pdf's to see if it's what you like

I pay 12.15 euro for it, that is 4.99 pounds in uk (where is
that pound sign when you need it)

It contains 1 cd, the beginners section is completely from the german mag. with some time delay. The provided info
is ok, depends a bit on what level you are and i, for inst. don't do much with the programming section at the moment.

Imho the linuxformat is slightly better. But for real in depth i
say, the online mags do fine and they are free, so wget them.
regards
