I have Mandrake Linux 8.0 running on an embedded device. Kernel is 2.2.18 and glibc 2.2.4. Tomcat webserver is running on the devicve.

The problem I am facing is that Linux locks up at one of the client site. Other clients are not facing this problem. Only one client is facing this Linux lockup regurarly. You have to hard reboot the device to get it working. You cannot ping or access the device in any other way.

There is nothing available in the logs after the reboot as the OS completely locked up and logged nothing.

Please let me know how I can resolve this problem.

It is not a Linux problem, the device in question has faulty RAM or otherwise bad hardware.
