We successfully used a machine- a 486SX33 16Mb ram to surf the web and send email. Even used it as a remote station to edit pictures using the GIMP over a broadband link. Not exactly fast, but can be done. Takes 10-15 seconds to render news.bbc.co.uk.
A quote from the DamnSmall Linux site from a person that used some old hardware to run DSL; I don't think you will find much that will run *good*, but they will run well enough.

You can grab it here: http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/

It is only 50 megs.

You might also take a look at:

SLAX -> 100 - 200M
KNOPPIX -> 700M
Luit Linux -> 50M

Just to name a few. Enjoy!

fakie_flip, stop posting these questions again and again. the answers here have already been provided to you once today. The memebrs posting here have therefore wasted there time, and you've abused their good nature. Posting they way you are makes forums messy and unusable. please stop.

I normally don't "chime in" on things like this, but man I looked at fakie_flips posts and he is totally filling up the forums with this exact same question.

I think that if fakie_flip spent his time working on linux instead of posting in these forums he would have answered his own questions long ago...

As a moderator, can't you just close these threads as you come up? Or is it part of the rules that you have to issue a warning first?
